- Entire team chats pleasantly around my cube today, and I have to sit like I'm deaf. There isn't a volume setting high enough on my headphones to drown out the sound of fun.
- Apartment buzz-me-in buzzer goes off in the middle of dinner. Imagine Kate leaping up like a puppy at the door, so excited, opens the door and it's the maintence guy for the apt below me. BOOOOO.
- CABLE BREAKS. It's must-see tv night, and I am silent!! There should be laws against that!
So I shlepped myself over to Evan's, where I couldn't vocalize the fact that I'd like to stop cuddling or no, I don't want a piece of chocolate, I want one of those muffins, so.....well, let's just say that the effect was that it led to be best quote of the day:
"Ow! Damn Hellen Keller, use your words!! I can't remember the last time I was pinched by a deaf mute this much!"
And that was so funny, it made day 2 worth all the hassle.
If anyone knows how to fix pixely, funky looking cable, holla at me.
