I've only been grounded for 3 weeks and already I am getting "itchy feet", as Fiona says.

In other words, I want a trip!

I really think I want my next weekender to be Rome. Come on! If you were within travelling distance of Italy, and you could just pop on over to Rome for the weekend, have some gelato, have some caprese, see some ruins, do some window shopping in Prada and Dolce and Gabbana...wouldn't you have itchy feet too? I think I'm going to stay put for September, but Rome may just be my October treat.

This station is GREAT. On my 20 min commute today they played Decemberists, Cat Power, The Thermals, Foo Fighters and Bloc Party. That is a tour de force, my friends! In light of the fact that I won't be attending Electric Picnic this weekend, it's good to know I can still have some good music on. Anyway, check it out, but be forewarned: The DJ may or may not be Irish. They have a lot of American accents, because American accents are pretty posh over here. Yeah!

However, if you're looking for more traditional, leprachaun-dancing-on-a-pot-o-gold type music, check out RTE Radio. Radio Telefis Eireann, or RTE, is the official Irish broadcasting network. In other words, they've got the Irish goods.
