OMFG WHO TURNED THE HEAT OFF IN IRELAND?!
Someone effed with the heating system in this country while I was away. I leave Ireland at a happy 55 degrees, I come back to a miserable 37 degrees. Every single Irish person ever born is RAVING MAD about the 1/2" of snow we might get tonight. Apparently, the Irish loathe snow. With the ferocity and passion that seems to permeate life here, they pour as much hatred into snow as they do the English, immigrants, the Taoiseach (Prime Minister), oil prices, celebrities, and....well, the list is a long one.
I've heard a LOT of moaning and groaning about this supposed 1/2" of snow that we may or may not get. One person told me she won't be bothering coming to work if it snows, because of how dangerous it makes driving. I also heard that the entire Irish school system will shut down for a day or two. OR TWO! Now, I just pulled myself up out of 10" of snow in Detroit to get here, so this whole thing is making me laugh pretty hard. We Michiganders are troopers when it comes to snow....um, but if I wake up tomorrow and there's a dusting, yeah, I'm staying in bed like the rest of 'em. Don't hate, you'd do it too.
Today I'm working on a few bids, and I've just come across the CV of a coworker whose address is in Wales. I am loathe to put someone's actual address online, so I've changed the post code, but check this out....then say it out loud....then write me and tell me how that went:

Would you believe I think I've got it until I hit "Gwynedd"? Yeah, I'd be lying if I said that were true.
So have a good day. Hopefully, you're not at work. Hopefully, you're reading this from bed. Even more hopefully, you're somewhere tropical. Have a great Thursday!
