Lightning Damages Three Mayo Homes
from ireland.com Latest Irish News
Lightning has struck in a County Mayo village this morning, hitting three properties in the same neighbourhood.
You read right: A bolt of lightning was seen on the other side of the country.
I take it they don't get lighting very often over here. I mean, this is the front page of the Dublin news today. It's the geographical equivelant of the New York Times front paging an article about a rain shower in San Diego. And to think, it takes a citywide forest fire or mudslide to grab our attention back home anymore. Ah, to be a disaffected American again. :P
Was your weekend good? I had a GREAT weekend, but I'm kinda going out of my mind trying to get my book club book done for my meeting tomorrow. I'm wondering if every single book I've read for a deadline since high school has been under this kind of last minute pressure. I'm thinking the answer to that is yes. I need to take a stand and stop the procrastination! It will improve my quality of life and certainly improve my reading experiences. This must happen!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go hover over my novel with a crumbly sandwich in hand.
Good Monday!
