Never Gonna Give You Up...

Last night was another Threefold company night out, which once again got out of hand. I decided to be a girl for once and drink cocktails instead of beer, but waking up this morning with an award-winning hangover, I'm realizing why I stick to the suds.

I don't get it. These folks--Irish, English, Scottish--they drink 2 for every 1 I drink, they dance and go crazy, they smoke like fiends, they stay out til 5 when I go home at 3, but still they're at their desks the next day at 9:30, typing away while I draaaaag myself in just shy of 10:30.

*By the way, in Ireland it's completely acceptable and in fact encouraged to stay out late with coworkers and get really, filthy drunk, and then to come in an hour or two late the next day. No one will ever say anything. In fact, my boss, the CEO, still isnt't in. Just didn't want you to think I'm some kind of delinquent. Well, no, I am. But so is everyone else.

And over here, to say you have a hangover is like admitting defeat, so you might have your head in the wastebasket, but when someone walks by and says "how's the head?" you pop up and say "oh, grand, i'm just maybe a little tired, but otherwise i'm fine." They're machines!!!!!

Anyway, like the old saying goes, I'm never ever drinking again.

Did you click on the link up there and get Rick Rolled? LOL, I just learned about this the other day. Apparently, people are putting up fake links in articles and blogs, which all go to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video on youtube. I think it's hilarious, and you know I'm always up for a good 80s song, so this works just fine for me. Go ahead--Rick Roll me! I know you want to!

So go gear up for the weekend. Get through your Friday, or if you're a lucky sucker with a four-day weekend, just hang out and enjoy! AH, did you fall for it again?! :)

I'll be running the Phoenix Park 10k this weekend. Think of me on Sunday when I'm busting my buns to bring home the gold for the US of A!

Good weekend!
