Okay I've been pretty crappy lately on the blog, I know. I've had my hands full at work and have had a few run-ins in the last week, and on top of that I get the feeling I'm a little homesick because I haven't been back to the States in half a year. Anyway my vacation is officially approved (yay) so I'm coming home Jul 12-20, which puts a light at the end of the tunnel for me.
So! To cheer things up, I thought I'd introduce you to my new loves...
Kara works at Lush, the soap company, and brought over a few (read: million) amazing treats for me to try. I like soap but have never been obsessed, but this soap is definitely worth getting excited about. Everything smells amaaaazing, feels great, leaves your skin soft and shiny, and it's all organic and not animal tested. It's pretty cool stuff! Here's what I'm particularly excited about:

Happy Hippy Lemony Bodywash

This has been waking me up in the shower all week. It's like a bowl of fresh grapefruit and a shot of lemonjuice. It uses fresh ingredients (of course) as in they actually wring grapefruits and lemons into the bowl while they make it. The citrus takes the oil off your skin too, a bonus.
Porridge Soap

This one actually smells so good that I took 2 showers one day just to use it instead of Happy Hippy. It smells like sweet molasses and oats--there's a good chance you will want to eat this bar. There are real porridge oats in it that exfoliate and the soap is extra creamy, it leaves your skin feeling silken. It. Really. Works.
Hands down the best thing since....real porridge.

Cupcake Face Mask

Kara tells me this is absolutely other-worldy. Let me make this clear: it's like putting cupcake frosting on as a face mask. Well, except it's got clays and veggies n stuff in it to make your face feel smooth, taut, fresh. The fresh ground cocoa is how this mask gets feeling chocolately. I've used another mask, Crash Course in Skincare, with garlic and fresh grapes and it left my face feeling amaaaaazing, so I'm sure this one is great too. It'll be my next buy. And the facemasks there are so natural, so organic, that you have to store them in the fridge and they expire after 3 weeks, like produce. Oh, but the feeling of HAVING to go home and slip into a chocolatey facemask with a nice bubble bath--you know, just to make sure you get your money's worth---oh, it's good.
Soft Coeur Massage Bar

This....is heaven. Those chunks.....are chocolate and honey. The consistency of this thing is like pure solid butter. It is amaaaaaaazing. It just melts away under your hands. Use it to massage out your knots....or someone else's knots...ow ow! LOL, that was corny. But for real, this one you have to see to believe. Just go in the store and run it over your hands.
Okay so that's just a fraction of what my very, VERY generous friend introduced to me. I'm pretty sure that's enough flagrant advertising for that company for one day. They oughta pay me stipends for silent45 site visits today! For more info on Lush visit dey website: lush.com.
And everyone lament my loss of a Kara today. Safe home, chick!
And have a great day everyone!
