KaraKerry Madness

What a great weekend! Kara is in town and we're having a blast! After Kara fell asleep on the bus to town and got a taxi ride all the way back to city centre, we met up and had a great night. :) We walked around and grabbed dinner at Porto House tapas bar, then had a few pints and Kara made her way (me following) to St Stephen's Green park where she befriended a few kindly Algerian kids who requested her presence at a porno shoot the next day.

We declined and headed home for some movies instead. On Saturday the weather was aaaawful. Mrs. Gunther (holla!) came in from Sligo on the train to visit with us for the afternoon. We had tea and had a good long chat at the house then went for some stew at the Boxty House. We also managed to catch the tail end of the Gay Pride Parade down my street--it was a lot of fun!

Once we said goodbye to Mrs. G we came home for a bit of r&r and then hit the town to see Sex and the City. And yes, your math is right: it was my third time. And I cried again. Can't help it! Kara loved it too; it was fun to go together.

Yesterday we went for a nice Irish fry in the morning, then went shooopping, and Kara picked up a gorgeous pair of pumps from Office. She also took me to Lush, a specialty soap store that she works at in the US, and showed me a bunch of soaps and facemasks I would like--everything there is so, so yummy. We also got some gifts for her to take home, and we of course made time for a pint! Last night I cooked a giant pasta bake for dinner, then tonight Kara's making me and Stephen her homemade lentil soup, and Tuesday Stephen promises to make us a nice curry for dinner. Man are we eating well!

SO today Kara is off to Glendalough and then we'll go out tonight somewhere fun. It's so exciting waiting for work to be done so I can get back to the party that is Kara and Kerry. :)
