Foggy Dew

like to measure my salary in $ instead of €, since I send a lot of my savings home. Because of the recent global economic fluctuations, my salary has dropped by $15,000 since July.

I no longer will be thinking of my salary in $. For my sanity's sake.

This market is just burning me alive. My Roth IRA accounts have bottomed out, my savings over here is now worth less at home, the credit card that switched in August to an interest rate based on the LIBOR index is therefore no longer really usable. The silver lining in all this must be that next year when I start house shopping, it will still be a
 buyers market. Or better be!

Ah well, money's money, it comes and goes. Can't be helped at the moment I suppose. In the meantime, I'll just have to treat myself to some Belgian chocolate and beer this weekend to quell the sorrows. :)

BELGIUM! I fly out tomorrow right after work. I can't wait!
And as part of some crazy online deal, we've gotten a 4-star spa resort in city centre for a reeeeeally cheap rate. So this is going to be a nice trip! Plus, the weekend weather forecast was looking grim for awhile, but now they're giving mild with fog. FOG. I was hoping it'd be foggy. I know that's weird that you would hope for what seems like inclimate weather, but it's a country known for it's beautiful fog. Look at this:

I really can't wait. Only one more day now! Good Thursday!
