HOTCHI MOTCHI, IM GOIN TO PARIS!

Look, I know basically everyone’s been to Paris, but for those few novices like me, listen up: there’s NO WAY you don’t get excited about travelling to Paris! NO WAY! It is too cool! There are so many things there that I am just itching to see, and in less than 12 hours I’ll be there! It’s so incredible.
Can I just take a minute to say how happy I am here? I’ve got a great job working for people who actually respect me, I’m finally getting paid above the poverty line, I’ve got a cool [free] flat in Dublin, I’m living in Europe and I’m travelling wherever I please! This is what I’ve always wanted, ever since I was a little girl. I’ve always known I belong in Ireland—always, since I was a kid—and I’ve finally come to find out why. I am completely happy here, meeting people from around the world, working in an industry that’s bringing Ireland into the 21st century, and getting the chance to come face-to-face with some of the world’s greatest sites. I am truly, truly happy!

That’s not to say that I don’t miss everyone dearly, but it is to say that I wish you were all here and we could all enjoy this fantasy life together. But I suppose you all have better things to do than shlep around Europe with lil ol me…

Now, you may wonder where this font of emotion has sprung from. Let me tell you something: I am a Taurus, and Taureans are notorious for loving their money. I just got paid this morning, the very day I was taking off for France with what could have been a very empty bank account. My bills are now paid, my budget is laid out, and my Euro has been converted to dollar in what for me was a very ceremonious morning. I am on a Taurean cloud nine right now, and anyone else who was born in May will agree with me—nothing is sweeter than a fresh paycheck with plenty of cushion!

Now for a little news:

I very recently became the proud owner of http://www.silent45.net/! I’m really, really excited to start web design. I’ve been learning HTML the last few weeks, and I’m aiming to learn CSS, Javascript and Dreamweaver (to link it all together) in the next month or so. I know that may sound trite—a lot of people spend months or years properly learning each, but I’m just looking to get my feet wet. Anyway, silent45 will be moving to its own domain in the near future . I have lots of ideas for cool things to do on the site, so stay tuned!
