South Park, Sleep, Speakin' Irish

I'm hatching a new plan...can you believe it, I'm thinking of trying....

A new language!

And with a crap knowledge of Spanish, Latin and French under my belt....this should be another C+/B- class experience!!!

But it's Irish, and I'm in Ireland, and I could learn it in Kerry of all places. Come on! KERRY! If you were a Hungarian girl named Samantha, and you could learn Hungarian in...Samanthatown...would you pass that up? You wouldn't. I'm telling you now: You would not.

I'm that Hungarian girl named Samantha...named Kerry. In Ireland.

Here's the funny part: Look at how insultingly the course is titled:

Man, a simple "beginners" would have sufficed! Way to make me feel like a boater, Ireland.

Well, so what I would do would be to take beginners night classes in Dublin, then you spend a 3-day weekend in a Gaeltacht [Irish-speaking area], which is 100% language immersion. And Irish...well, it ain't pig Latin. It is hard. I'm serious. It sounds like jib. It looks like jib. For all I know, it's really just drunken slurring of English. But I hope not, because at €250 for a course, I better learn more than how to drink whiskey and yell at my wife.

Yikes, that got stereotypical!

Anyway, I worked until 10:45 last night, and let's just say I haven't yet turned the bio-clock forward, so I eventually went to sleep at 11....Michigan time. That's 4am here. I am wrecked, and quite frankly it's making me a little loopy. Also, the jerk chauvinist owner of the company is in and swaggering around and it's really putting me on edge.

But stop. I have something to share with you.

In the spirit of the many, MANY create-your-own's we've been through, I bring you Create Your Own South Park Character.

The site has been around for awhile, but this is my first time trying it. I really tried to capture my sleepiness, but I think I may just look like a stoned 80's sorority chick.

LOL, that's ridiculous.

Have a good weekend!
