Wooooo fall's here fo SHO! The leaves are turning, the Halloween decorations are on display in stores, and I'll tell you what: The Guinness is tasting GREAT. It's just another sign that autumn has hit the little island of Ireland.
So last night was the company quiz night, which was held in an ANCIENT SUBTERRANEAN VAULT turned pub about 30 years ago. It is AWESOME--it's all you can do to not feel like you're living out a scene in Phantom of the Opera. It is a lair.

How cool is that?! Anyway, my office separated into teams and we all competed against each other in various categories of mindless trivia (you know, the best kind of trivia). I was expected to know absolutely EVERYTHING about the US, and managed to fail my team horribly as follows:
I said George Washington's teeth were wooden, but the quizmaster SWEARS they were made of ivory. I'm still calling the bs card on that--I SAW the wooden teeth ant Mt. Vernon.
....I said Jerry Springer was the mayor of Cleveland, but it's actually Cincinnati. Never forget that again.
Here's the best part: My office well knows by now that I do the Irish Times sudoku every day at lunch, and have since I started here. Well, 3 rounds of pints into the game every team gets a sudoku to solve, and the whole room goes up in uproar about how I shouldn't be allowed to do it! LOL! It didn't matter--I rocked that sudoku, with 3 pints under my belt, too. It was magical.
Anyway, it was fun, and my team won by a landslide and we got a really fabulous prize. Great night!
So this weekend I move into my new house--I cannot wait! I think I might go through a little withdrawl from not living right next to the biggest mall in Europe, but it's only 10mins away by bus and I think I'll adjust eventually....maybe?
Have a good weekend! Have a little pumpkin pie ice cream for me or some cider and donuts, cuz I am missing both dearly!!
