Good Thing

I just LOVE that it's 45 degrees outside this morning and my lovely coworkers have the windows open. That makes sense. That's reasonable, and is mindful of all the people who are sick with colds and shivering around them...

I'm gonna type for as long as my fingers remain nimble, but they're freezing up fast since it's only FIFTEEN DEGREES ABOVE FREEZING in my office, so we might have to keep this short.

Howdy! How's your Friday treating ya? The w00t deal is crappy today, isn't it? Does that bum you out a little? Well, do what I do to internet-perk myself up again...

It's not something I'm proud of, but it works. It works.

I can't HELP but feel bright and breezy after visiting martha! Her floralscapes are so light and airy, her holiday craft ideas are so entrancing, the pale pastels of her color pallate are so soothing---how could one not leave behind the cares of the world when entering a site such as that?

Forget about the upcoming elections, never mind your empty bank account, and just because Darfur is in turmoil doesn't mean you have to be, too---you've got Martha. Martha to show you her trompe l'oeil technique, her tiramisu recipe, her pinking shears to end all pinking shears. And before you know it, all your pertinent, pressing, weight-of-the-world cares have vanished, replaced with an alternate reality where decoupage and paint swatches are of supreme importance.

It's simpler, it's easier, it's emptier.

And that's a Good Thing.
