Senorita, I Feel for You

I woke up so excited this morning!

  • My folks are coming over in April!
  • Kaitlyn and I are going on a Mediterranean Cruise!
  • Amber and Kevin are getting married on Sunday!

So I got up, I walked to work, got my holiday edition Gingerbread Latte from the 'bux, came into the office, and lo and behold...

I got my winning picture caption!

The winner is most definately Andrea Hudak, who warmed the cockles of my heart with quote a la Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa. (Andrea, hope you don't mind--I clipped it a bit so it fits on the screen!)

Love it.

Now, I have to tell you: Last night my house was less than pleasant. A certain housemate was in a fooooooul mood, and she made it rough for the rest of us. She was a cranky, bellowing grouch, so by the time Tony came home from soccer, I was more than ready to take him up on his offer to head down the street. We went down to Declan and Damien's house around the corner--they're two coworkers, ahem, two easygoing coworkers, who live a few houses down. We watched PrisonBreak and had a laugh and THAT IS NICE TO COME HOME TO AFTER A LONG MONDAY, YOU KNOW?! No one wants to sit around and listen to someone complain and whine incessantly, hear her bark at her brother, sit there eating dinner with a scowl on her face, refusing to change the channel from crap soap operas that no one else wants to watch, listen to her mildly racist remarks about people. You can't blame me for wanting to duck out for a bit.

I had a good couple of hours down the block and that was really nice getaway.

And I'm happy this morning, after my quiet walk to work, which is where I get my break from the negativity of the house.

In fact, I was so chipper this morning, I made a youtube video! My first ever! I wanted you to get a glimpse of what driving is like in County Kerry, especially when we were there, in teh fog and rain. Now, this video doesn't capture 100% of the scariness, because at this point I had shed my will to live and was feebly singing along to the Justin Timberlake that Fiona had turned on. LOL, but I promise you, I was scared. And I also promise you that there are parts that are plenty more narrow, plenty faster and plenty scarier than this. But nevertheless, this is a nice little taste. Enjoy!
