Well, in case you didn't read my post yesterday, I'll fill you in: It's been rough at my house lately.
My roommates are idiots and it's time for me to go. One almost burned the house down the other night when she left a pizza in the oven while she was drunk and fell asleep. The worst part is when I woke up and tried to put out the fire, I asked both flatmates to help and they wouldn't even get up. They told me to do it, and went back to sleep.
So, come on, that's that. After many, MANY ridiculous events in that house, that's what I call a final straw.
To regroup and recoup, I booked a hotel room last night. It was great--took a bath, ordered a pizza, watched my favorite shows--I loved it! And it let me clear my head and think about my plan.
I've decided to get a subletter for the remainder of the lease and move out. After just 8 1/2 weeks, these people have driven me to near-depression, and I think it's best I find a new place to stay. I'm looking for an apartment right in the heart of the city so I can be closer to things, and hopefully meet some newer, saner people to socialize and live with.
I feel better! And I think things are going to get back to normal, finally. It's been a really tough last 2 months for me, but everything's on the up and up now, thank GOD.
Oh, also, I've decided on my Flatmate Wanted post:

Kerry, I just read your post on the roommates and fire and its scary and comical at the same time. My roommate does the same thing after a night out. Cooks on the Georgey Grill. So, I'm sure one day i'll be in ur same boat. Maybe i'll see you when your home.
