APARTMENT!

Living life by a new--and very sophisticated--motto:

Shake and shake the ketchup bottle. None will come, and then a lot'll.

And by that, I mean it's been a little rough for me these first few months in Ireland, what with the job presenting it's own set of difficulties and my living situation being.....less than perfect.....correction, less than good, but my comeuppance has finally arrived!

I GOT A NEW APARTMENT IN TEMPLE BAR!

Temple Bar is a district in the smack-ass middle of Dublin. It's the--Lord forgive me for the analogy--Manhattan of Dublin. (If you can't see the hilarity in that, you've never been to Ireland). But what I mean to say is that it's the epicenter of the city, which will be so much fun to live in!

My apartment is in a little lane called Crow Street. It's a cobblestone street with a huge bright green door built into the old brick walls, and that's how you get to my apartment. COBBLESTONES! Holey Moses, I'mma livin' in Europe now, baby!

I move in next week, at which point I've got a varitable bevy of things I want to do, like join the gym across the street, the yoga center down the road, the year-long cinema pass for the movie theatre down the street, buy my groceries from the Saturday market at the foot of my apartment, and oh, about a billion things more! I'm going to take a French class, join a book club, and oh, btw, travel, travel, travel! I couldn't be more excited, and this move is just the jumpstart I needed to carve out a niche for myself in this city!

So address and photos to follow soon, but in the meantime, here's the lane I'm living in. If that ain't Dublin, I don't know what is!
