New Book Club!
Being an English Major, I've been eager for a long time now to start a book club, and I've finally gotten my chance! I'm starting a group here in Dublin with 4 strangers who I found through a post I put on a community website.
"This is the true story of five strangers, picked to read together once a month...find out what happens when people stop being normal....and start being Englishey."
I'm taking suggestions for book club names. For some reason people get really hung up on the fact that a book club needs a name, and we all know that if the naming is left up to me, we're gonna end up with something ridiculous. So if you have any ideas, let me know.
Book club, running club, French class, gym membership, cinema membership, writing club, yoga class, mega travel plans.......I have gotten MOTIVATED since I found out I'm living in the city, and I've found toooons of stuff to do, and tons of ways to meet new buddies. I can't wait to get into town and start livin' my Dublin life!
Now, for something a little more serious...
I heard some devastating news on the radio this morning.
Soulja Boy is no. 1 of the UK charts.
F*CK YOU VERY MUCH, AMERICA. Sending that song over here---ya just couldn't keep that one to yourself, could ya? And here I thought I was going to get away without having to listen to him "supersoak dat hoe" on my way to work every morning. Well, I thought wrong. I should never have underestimated his...soulja-like tenacity. bleh.
