Last Day o'March

GOOD MORNING!

This weekend Europe "sprang ahead" ergo I am sitting here in an office of very quiet, very tired people. And of course, I made the classic mistake of waking up an hour late today, so while I'm unusually freshfaced and perky, I will also be under the watchful eye of all those clock-minding 9am nagglers for the next few days, ("you know, can I tell you, I see her come in late all the time. Just the other day she sauntered in here at 9:30!")

In politics: The die has been cast. Clinton has won my mock election! WHAT?! And this from the woman who has all but been given up for dead according to US news outlets! Now I reeeeeally don't know what to think!

Anyway, big other news:

Giada's baby girl has arrived!

With all the baby news lately, I'm surprised that I'm so excited, but I am and I can't wait to see this baby and see how this baby makes it's bolognese sauce.

How was your weekend? Irish spring (....wait.....not the soap) has officially sprung, which means tons of sun and tons of rain. Saturday was sun. I went for a walk, went to the National Museum to see the bog men, had a coke and watched a rally, and some other lazy hazy Saturday stuff (ie: cleaning the apt in my bathrobe. Woo hoo! Living the life. Living the dream.) Sunday it rained. Hardcore. There was even a bolt of lightning, which is really rare here, and as I shivered away a quick bout of goosebumps after the thunder struck, I realized that for all the rain, I've never before heard thunder here. Must have been banished along with the snakes.

Sunday I also spent FOUR HOURS at the salon getting my hair done. And I have white girl hair! But you know, it's a shishi salon and they do these crazy highlight techniques with two colors and a rinse and a toner and some other stuff and by the end I looked like a poodle but a nice poodle, a pretty poodle, a honey-colored, bobbed poodle. A broke yet satisfied customer poodle.

In other news....

OLD EVIL ROOMMATE HANDED IN HER NOTICE ON FRIDAY. Won't be seeing her face around the office anymore after the 8th! I am soooooooo excited! I found out end of day Friday, and I have to say, there was a real-deal party on my face! Those dark, dark days are officially over, and I can be happy and move on and hopefully never have any dealings with that family ever again. :)

Now, lastly, a few shoutouts: If you moved this weekend, if you aced your appellate oral argument this weekend, if you broke free of the w00toff this weekend or if you fiiiiinally connected with your long-lost college roomie for a nice skype call this weekend, HOLLA!

Have a good Monday!
