The New York Times takes it seriously. Why can't you?
Yay! My family is here! After phone calls at 10pm, 1am, 4am and 6am from various participating parties--airlines, folks, panicked sister stuck in MI--they are finally here. They're out wandering the streets of Dublin on a nice spring day while I'm stuck in the office with my boss LITERALLY hovering over my desk. Yep, he's a hoverer. While I was busy typing the final touches on a bid, he sat at my desk and straightened things up while I typed. Tidied. I'm not kidding.
Anyway, tonight, hopefully before my folks crash, we're going to a nice restaurant for some food and pints and then they're off to bed. We went for a nice breakfast early this morning when they got in--my dad got the full Irish (manly!), my mom's bff Sandy got beans on toast, and my mom got brown bread with jam and went craaaaazy about it. I've never seen someone get so excited about bread! I think she's just excited to be back in Ireland again, which is nice.
Anyway, so tomorrow they head down the country and I'll meet them in Galway on Friday night for a weekend jaunt to the Aran Islands. And so starts my MONTH O' BIRTHDAY TRAVELS! Heeeeere we go!
Hope you're having a good day. If you're up and out of bed, you're better than halfway through the week! Congratulations.
Good Wednesday!
