Hello my pretties! Nothing too exciting to post today. I've been in a meeting for the last 4 hours and I'm happy to report no less than 103 uses of f*ck by none other than my own boss, Niall. Charming. Needless to say it wasn't a pleasant meeting to be a part of.
I have to get back to my work, but I do want to say that in 10 days I'll be home! HOLLA! I am very, VERY excited.
Also my book club decided...against my better judgement...to read Memory Keeper's Daughter. It's about a family who gives up their baby because she has Down Syndrome, which I think would make for a very interesting story and an interesting dialogue about Downs, but the book gets "two thumbs up" from Sue Monk Kidd, author of the appallingly-bad Secret Life of Bees, which almost killed me with boredom mid-read. Kidd is a literary nuisance. Anyway, maybe Memory Keeper's Daughter is nothing like the dumb bee book and I'm stressing about nothing. I've been reading with this group for half a year now and so far every meeting has been interesting--I have no reason to suspect the next won't be cool as well.
If you haven't been back to the group site in awhile, by the way, it might be worth your time to check it out and see what we've been reading/discussing. Dublin Book Club.
So yeah, have a good Wednesday. Cannot WAIT for this week to be over!!!
