WHO goes to Paris without a camera.......TWICE?!
Kate do.
So I booked my trip to Paris this past weekend **hooraaaay**! I'm heading out FRIDAY with buddy Stephen for my second trip, his first trip to the city of Brotherly Love (jk, I know it's the city of Lights, I was just testing your Monday morning reflexes).
Check this lineup:
-Friday: Paris
-Monday: August Bank Hol. Day off. Still in Paris.
-Tuesday: Evan arrives!
-Friday-Monday: Off of work?
HOORAY! What an ARSOME agenda! I am still very, VERY excited when I hear myself say things like, "Paris on Friday!". WHO SAYS THAT?! When do you get to say that?! Oh man, this is the perk. This is definitely the perk of all of this. :)
Anyway, I've lost my camera very mysteriously so I can't take pictures in Paris. Boo. Who goes twice with no camera? I guess I was fated to force myself to commit the city to memory. Ah, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Still, you know how much I love taking my pictures...
So great weekend here in Dublin! We mysteriously went 3 whole days without rain. You should see the lobsterness of these folk. It's like an office full of pink highlighters this morning. I went to the parks to read on Sat and Sun both and all around me were Irish just baaaaaking. Baking. Like cookies. Only redder.
Yesterday I wore a nice sundress (Kaitlyn and Elisa, the brown one from Tar-jay) and sat down in the park to read and this...um, colorful, fragrant, box-dwelling type fellow walked by a few times with a can of beer. More than a few times. On the 5th loop he stops, walks 10 ft away from me, lays down on his stomach , reaches out and lights a cigarette in his mouth and then just lays there, staring at me, puffing away. It was awkward. To make matters worse, once he was done with the cigarette he pretended to fall asleep when I was looking at him, but was totally staring at me the whole time. It was awful! I picked up my stuff and moved about 20 ft away and kept reading. LOL. Just plain uncomfortable.
So the book I've been reading this weekend is Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. Have you read it? What did you think? We're discussing it tomorrow at my book club and I reeeeeeally need some other opinions, becuase mine....probablly won't carry an entire conversation, to be honest.
Anyway have a good Monday. I'm over here laughing about how the CEO thinks that since no one came to his company outing last week (drinking in BFE on a Wed night after a 2hr allstaff meeting in which he told us we don't get a bonus....yeah no), he's declaring it mutiny. MUTINY. He has used this word. LOL. Further proof this company is destined for no good things. Good thing I've got my exit strategy in place! :D
Great Monday!
