Paris.
And today, Evan comes into town. Do you know what my GRE vocabulary word of the day was today? EVANescence. How weird is that?! Unfortunately, the word means "fleeting", an allusion to how quickly this week will pass. But pass in the happiest of ways; I just can't wait!
So I'm sitting here at work waiting to leave at 12 to go into the city and give Evan the keys to the apt. The knee is bouncing up and down in that universal symbol of "cantwaitcantwaitcantwait". I've left my Paris photos at home but here are Stephen's, which, since we visited together, are pretty similar. If the photos were scratch and sniff, I'd have to caution you with the knowledge that my bags went missing and I wore the same outfit all weekend...a funky situation.

And want to know something funny? My bag went missing on the way home, too. Still don't have it. That's right: Air France lost my bag going BOTH ways. JEEboo!
Anyway, in Paris we had an amazing time. We went to Versailles, the Louvre and d'Orsay museums, shopped on the Champs Elysees, had lunch al fresco in Le Jardin du Luxembourg, went up the Eiffel Tower, had a fancy pants French meal, and basically ran ourselves ragged for 3 days of awesomeness. We walked an average of 11 miles a day. Covered some ground!!
My two favorite moments from this trip were 1. walking around Marie Antoinette's farm at Versailles--beautiful sunlit French countryside peppered with livestock, vineyards, gardens, creamerys, mills and more. 2. going up the Eiffel Tower at night and watching it go all glittery from right there on its observation deck. So, so, SO cool.
So tonight Evan is in and we'll go see Jose Gonzalez playing in Dublin. YAY! Be sure to check out Stephen's photos and I'll post my own tomorrow. Happy Tuesday!
