Wednesday...Almost Done!

What a nice Tuesday night. It's great to have my buddy in town with me this week. :) Evan and I went out for Leo Burdock's fish and chips--best in Dublin--then we went to the Jose Gonzalez concert at the Auditorium as a special treat. The venue was super intimate and very chill. The group was mellow as was (if you know any of his music) Gonzalez. It was weird tho--in concert he sounds EXACTLY like James Taylor. Evan was joking that he was going to shout, "Carolina in my Mind!!!!" as a request. That may not have gone down well...

Anyway, it was a great night and I can't wait to get through another wretched day in the office and back home to hang out some more! Tonight I'm cooking roasted salmon with dill cream pasta for dessert to indulge my love of cooking for folk. It'll be great!

So no bags STILL from my trip to Paris! Look: don't ever fly Air France. Ever. And when going through Charles de Gaulle, just be careful. That place is a train wreck. Thanks to Air France, in the last 6 days I've had my bag for a total of 18 hours. That's unbelievable. Evan swears his Air France trip over here was great though--French cuisine for the meals including aged camembert cheese with fresh baguette that they came around with, and free wine for everyone too. Okay so that does sound nice, but the baggage issue.........unreal!

Anyway, I hope you have a good day. Is it 60 and rainy where you are? That's the situation here. Have you seen the pics of Knox and Vivienne yet? They're all poofy-lipped. Have you visited the Dublin Book Club website and joined the discussion of Banville's "The Sea" yet? Get on that--the topics are already starting to build and develop. Can't wait to see you there!

  1. 60 and rainy sounds like Heaven to me! Better than the 96 and 100% humidy it is here in Texas :-(
