This past week was great. Elisa paid a surprise visit to Michigan and it's been great catching up with her. She's nice to have around because a. She remembers everything b. She has a perfect sense of direction and c. Loves a lot of the same things as me, namely our dorky movies and passion about home decor, wedding etiquitte, and Food Network show hosts.
It's been amazing having her in town; it's sad to think it might be years before I see her again. :(
Packing for the move is coming together slowly. My coworker Sarah and I have been scavenging boxes. Don't you just HATE box scavengers? Aren't we the lowest rung of society? We who rob the empty, dusty boxes out from underneath the printer table. How. Dare. Us. Aren't we soooo deessssparate, asking you for your empty Land's End UPS carton? People meanmug us in an extra-special meanmuggy way as we tearass around the office, plucking boxes as we go.
Anyway, the long of the short is that things are still very much up in the air. I don't yet have enough boxes to contain my life, the mice have not yet been freed, their cages not yet sold, and I won't be able to remember my Irish cell phone number until I land, plug the UK charger into a UK outlet (doesn't fit in our sockets over here) and get the phone turned on. So no, you cannot yet have my addy and phone#--all will come in time, grasshopper. All in time.
More soon. That's enough for now.
