Back From Paradise

Okay, so that was FUN.

Venice is amaaaaaazing--I hope everyone gets the chance to visit. Every corner is a postcard, each canal is new and beautiful, the food is fantastic, the wine is outstanding, and everything is brimming with romance. In our 4 days there, I saw no less than 1,000 honeymooners, and yes, I can see the appeal. It made me miss my guy quite a bit, but it was nice to see other couples enjoying themselves.

Brief overview: We stayed in a hotel between the Giudecca and Grand Canal, the two main waterways. The hotel was an old villa--you'll see it in the 2nd edition of pics I upload tomorrow. We did sightseeing in Venice the first 2 days, the third day we boated to outlying islands to shop for Venitian glass and to see some sites, then on the fourth day we put away the maps and got lost in the meandering alleyways and bridges of the city. We stumbled upon markets, shops, and I fell headfirst into my favorite store, Promode, and bought a whole lot of birthday clothes treats. :)

The weather was 75 and sunny and I came home with an Irish suntan (aka burnt). Hooray! I'm relaxed and rejuvinated and ready to get back to the swing of things...

...that is, until Friday, when I leave for 3 days in Barcelona.

:D

I love this month!

Okay, so check out the photos--it's just a couple, because I had sim card issues this morning. I'll post the remainder tomorrow which I really want you all to see.

I can't wait to hear how everyone's week has been! New jobs, more finals done and dusted, conventions attended...there's a lot going on! Fill me in!

Good Tuesday!
