CHEESE AND CRACKERS!
I'MMA GOIN' TO VENICE!
Well that's....that's just fine.
HOLY SMOKES I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am! I LURVE travelling, and Venice is going to be quite a highlight of my travels over here!! I thought the entire city was built on tiny islands, but as it turns out it really is just built straight on the water, on old fossilised wooden platforms laid down in the middle ages. There are no cars--it must be so quiet! It looks like something conjured up out of a dream...a dream from Leonard Nimoy. I just can't wait to see this.
We leave the city tomorrow at 4:30am and get into Venice midmorning. Tomorrow until Sunday we'll bop around and see some of the most amazing buildings and sites ever created, all afloat on the Mediterranean. We'll get carnivale masks, buy glass from Murano (famous glass-blowing island), and I will eat my weight in pizza and gelato. I come back on Sunday night and I'm already excited to show you my pictures and I haven't even taken them yet!! :)
