Thanks Pige'

New iGoogle themes today! And here I thought today would be dullsville...how wrong I was. The themes were created by artists, celebreties and design houses like D&G, Coldplay, Oscar De la Renta and others. I tried on this Diane Von Furstenburg this morning, but it's proving a lil loud for my sleepy Wed morning vision.

Anyway, just click on the "get artist themes" link on your iGoogle homepage.

Now, I've been a busy bee this morning, really sinking my teeth into work that my company doesn't pay me to do, ie finishing my picasa slide show of the trip to Venice. These slideshows don't make themselves, boss. So check out the last few pics I've added when you get a chance. They include such gems as this:

I call it Pigeon Whisperer
Or Captain Jack Pigeon, pirate on the high seas
Or Super Intense Looking Pigeon Begins the Pigeon Revolution

Look at how evil his gaze is. I was walking through a sqare where people were feeding pigeons and one landed on me and hung out for awhile while I walked around unaware, until my mom noticed and took a picture. I'm about 90% sure it must have given me bird lice, which my overpriced hairdresser will realize for me like 3 months from now in a screaming fit in my shishi salon. But maybe that's what he had planned from the start. Thanks, pige'.

So okay Venice is officially behind me and it's time to move on to getting excited about Shpain. In a day or so you'll get the "[insert funny epithet] I'M GOING TO SPAIN!" blog post, and then in a few more days you'll get the "Spain was [insert complementary adjective]". And then Spain will be behind me, too. But the sunburn will live on for months. We can count on that.

The point is after a whole year, I'm still really enjoying the chance to travel, and no matter how many times it happens, I still get awestruck when I answer the question, "What are you doing for the weekend?" with "Spain". It's so incredible--I can't believe how lucky I got. And all the homesickness and work headaches are totally worth it for the time being. :)

Oh, so book club was last night. We discussed "Love in the Time of Cholera", which generally people disliked for being too sappy, but then there were others who thought the sappiness was a criticism of truly sappy lit and....well, it was a good discussion. It's a great book and it does raise a lot of questions--it's worth a go if you have the chance.

Have a good day. Mind the pigeons!
