10k Roll'd

And there you go, the Great Ireland 10k is officially over! With a meandering time of 1:09:29, I didn't do too badly, didn't do too great. I can officially say that was the hardest 10k I have ever run in my life. This flat stretch you see above was the only time I wasn't on a huge hill. There was hail. Cold rain. A gusting wind. And I've since found out that this is the same route used by the Irish military to train recruits. WHOO! But it was fun and it was a huge accomplishment for me :)

How was your weekend? Mine was FABULOUS!!!! I was so indulgent. I ate my favorite fish and chips, I went to see The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (fantastic), I watched scary movies on the couch with junk food and candles, I talked with everyone back home, little shopping, little cafe-ing...it was great!

SO! What's on the docket this week? Well, one last week of French class, finishing "Love in the Time of Cholera" for the book club, and getting myriad things together for my folks' trip over, which commences next week! I'm excited to get the welcome wagon rolled out. I just love having people over here!! It's so exciting!
